I don’t mean to be combative but I just wanted to urge you both not to judge other people’s relationships by the quality of your own – you’re obviously successful and happy, but for many of us who are physically unattractive or psychologically harmed, it may not be possible to form loving relationships with other people, no matter how much we would like to. A robot substitute might do something to help those who are desperately lonely. Perhaps it wouldn’t be as good as what you’ve been so lucky to find, but count your blessings and try not to look down on, or mock, those who have restricted choices.
